Clive Peeters wins Sitecore site of the year 12 May 2010

White Labelled wins Sitecore site of the year for ClivePeeters.com.au in Best E-Commerce Category White Labbeleed Ecommerce digital agency

Melbourne, 12 May 2010

Digital agency White Labelled has won Sitecore Site of the Year- Australia/New Zealand for Best E- Commerce site for its client Clive Peeters (clivepeeters.com.au and rickhart.com.au for Western Australia)

ClivePeeters.com.au was launched towards the end of last year as the leading retailer’s first full online shop, allowing customers to shop online for all their electrical appliances needs, 24 hours a day.

Outsourced agency White Labelled was tasked with the build of the site, with the objective to create Australia’s best online multi-channel retail experience driving revenue and profit for Clive Peeters Group.  One of the main goals was to be consistent with the ‘easy’ tagline of Clive Peeters – ensuring the site was convenient, knowledgeable and easy to use by replicating the offline experience that customers are exposed to in- store as well as differentiate itself from current competitors.

White Labelled partnered with Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, to implement creative features such as:

  • Integration with the Clive Peeters ERP system to provide near real time stock inventory, pricing and availability
  • Complex delivery matrix that takes into consideration stock inventory, location, requested delivery day, delivery location and cost for efficiency for delivery
  • Virtual and physical gift cards redeemable online and in store

According to Paul Wilson, Managing Director at White Labelled, “We were very pleased that Sitecore awarded our work for Clive Peeters with ’site of the year’. The site is exceeding our goals, and it’s only 9 months into the first year! We’ve implemented a robust and extensible platform into the business that provides flexibility for enhancement and customisation, and we’re now moving towards enhancing the site and experience for customers. We love Sitecore’s Online Marketing Suite and are excited by its capabilities, and we look forward to pushing it and improving the site this coming year.”

Since its launch, the site has generated almost 5 times more traffic than before, with store basket values exceeding expectations. Internetretailing.com.au and Digital Marketing Lab both ran the “Australian Brands to applaud in the digital space” blog, naming Clive Peeters as the industry leader for electrical retailing.

Paul said “This has only been possible through a strong partnership with Clive Peeters founded on closely aligned visions for the site. From day 1 they were clear that this needed to be a truly integrated multi-channel experience with the challenges this brings to the site and the business invisible to their customer. This vision has led to a clean, simple customer experience that we believe is unique in Australia to its industry.”

Q1 2010 online sales end on upswing, more good news to come sales chart

March shoppers spend more money, purchase more items

Melbourne, 21 April 2010 – The first quarter of 2010 showed an overall reduction in online retail sales when compared with Q4 2009, new international research from Coremetrics shows. The marketing optimisation provider was quick to qualify however, that the drop was a result of the typically quiet post-Christmas holiday period and pointed out that the final month of Q1 experienced an increase of nearly 10% in online retail sales – a very encouraging sign for the year ahead.

Kevin Mackin, General Manager, Coremetrics, ANZ, elaborated further on the company’s international benchmark data, “The average order value also trended upwards in March, shooting to $180.95 from $168.23 in January. This is an increase of nearly 8% and is actually stronger than December 2009 figures when average order values were $171.89.”
