Tim West, Clive Peeters Online Business Development Manager announced today  that the Clive Peeters Internet retailing website will launch on Friday morning 28 August

The purpose of the new Clive Peeters website is to create a multi channel or cross channel experience for new and existing Clive Peeters customers.  Picking up on the success of foreign multi channel retailers, customers will be able to order online and pick up in store or order online and have goods delivered whether from the store or the closest Clive Peeters warehouse.

The concept in developing the site was to utilise the existing infrastructure of stores, warehouses and IT systems,and to  integrate all these to provide a seamless ordering and fulfillment  process for online customers. Tim says the system is fully integrated and human interaction only occurs at the point of picking and packing as such. The IT system has the smarts to ascertain what stock goes to customers in different locations. An example is an order placed online by a Townsville customer, will see their goods delivered via the local Clive Peeters site in Townsville.

Having worked on some of the Uk's major brands,Tim West has the skills and experience to bring Clive Peeters into true multi channel retailing. Tim feels that there are very few players in the online space that do true multi channel retailing well, and there is plenty of opportunity for first mover advantage in Australia, as will be the case with Clive Peeters online.
