It certainly seems that the shopping club concept has hotted up in Australia, with fashion sites brandsexclusive.com.au launching in May followed by buyinvite.com.au which launched on 9 July.
Both sites offer an invitation only model whereby users can only access the site by invitation. This model has been quite succesful in Europe as it offers some degree of exclusivity and protection of designer brands in a world of discount and goods permanently on sale.
On the brandsexclusive.com.au site it didn't take long to find a contact who I could use as an invitor, and on the buyinvite.com.au site there is a limited period whereby subscribers can register.
The brandsExclusive site claims brandsExclusive is the exclusive Australian online shopping destination for fashion clothing, footwear and accessories. The site further claims members can enjoy shopping for their favourite fashion and designer brands at significantly reduced prices - up to 70% off.
Every week, brandsExclusive run sales events with premium brands and sought after offerings from Australia and all over the world, each lasting only a few days. Members, receive email invitations for each event.
Behind brandsExclusive is an experienced team of fashion and eCommerce experts bringing the exclusive shopping club concept to Australia.
The gents at buyinvite.com.au were kind enough to send us a press release, and I was keen to see first hand what they have got on offer since I had just last week registered on the BrandsExclusive site.
The buyinvite.com.au site is warm and inviting, has a short video postcard of each offer and like the BrandsExclusive site, has goods on offer for a limited time period only.
If you want an invitation to either site let us know and we will send you an invitation, click here and send us your details
