Woolworths announced today that consumers are now able to view prices of up to 5000 items online at their local store.

The website asks the user for a postcode, then lists all the local Woolworths or Safeway stores in that area. Clicking on one of the links then allows the user to view prices of a myriad of goods from that store.

We will make the assumption that Woolworths has done their research and that there is a demand for this service.
